Geaux Fetch Dog Training in Baton Rouge and Gonzales

Why Geaux Fetch?

Thank you for visiting Geaux Fetch Obedience Academy! We are very excited that you are considering joining our team! At Geaux Fetch, our obedience training process was designed by Eric Babin. Eric first started dog training in 1990 by starting his own training kennel in Geismar, Louisiana. After a few years, Eric realized that the “self-taught” trainer/ business owner was not working for him. He decided to close the kennel and start traveling the US learning diverse training techniques and business development skills. Eric’s journey included working for top retriever trainers, training bomb detection dogs for the USMC, and Service Dog training for Veterans with PTSD. In November of 2017, Eric returned to Louisiana with an obedience training process that involves teaching, communication, and simplification all the while keeping a very high standard on performance with the dogs in training.

Our process also includes training the owner how to manage and maintain their dog. We use a basic fundamental method for teaching the owner how to handle their dog. After years of training Veterans how to handle their Service Dogs, Eric has developed a special process of instructions to develop the client’s skills to maintain, manage, and apply their dogs training in the real world.
